My name is Edward Lee Runner Sr.
My intent is to share with others what I know about my genealogy.
I am trying to get all the info on these web pages but it is a sizeable job, I
do a little each chance I get.

I am especially looking for family photos, family histories
and even gravestone photos and old maps and other documents.
Most of this information has been shared by other family
members.
I made this colorful chart below to illustrate my direct
ancestors, clicking on the names in the first column will take you to a web page
with more information pertaining to that particular name and MANY other names
related to it. Some of the other links on the chart
will take you to the descendants of that particular person. We have
lots and lots of photos of relatives
and photos of gravestones. We have obituary info, personal histories, maps,
wills, and anything else we can get our hands on. Let me warn
you, the website is pretty massive with lots of web pages, its pretty easy to
get lost. I got a nice email from a cousin that found us on a
google search for the Runner name and was overwhelmed by 70 odd pages of Runner
information... We aim to please... ;-)
If we don't get what we have online to share with our cousins,
it could be lost forever.

Bratcher, William Ray |

William Ray Bratcher, 73, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday
May 17, 2007. He was a U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran of the
Korean Conflict, and was the owner of Oak Grove Shell. Mr.
Bratcher was born in Rockfield, Kentucky, and preceded in
death by his parents, Ray F. and Willie Sullivan Bratcher,
two brothers, C. W. Bratcher and W. F. Bratcher and a
sister, Nelva Trevey. He had an ardent love for horse racing
and gardening. He is survived by his loving wife of 52
years, Linda M. Bratcher, whom he met at Bethesda Naval
Hospital as the two of them were serving in the Armed
Forces. Also surviving are a son, Steve Bratcher and wife,
Tammey;; daughter, Debra Bratcher; grandchildren, Whitney
Ryan Bratcher and Steven Bratcher, II; numerous nieces;
nephews and two sisters-in-law, Rita Bratcher and Anna Marie
Bratcher; aunt, Novice Sullivan; and his very special four
legged friend, Quincey. Services will be at Oakey's South
Chapel, 12 noon Monday, May 21, 2007. Interment will follow
in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive
friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
on Sunday. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel. 989-3131.
