Notes: Ross Maxwell Nuce, 83, of Aarons Creek Road, Morgantown, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at Monongalia General Hospital. He was born Feb. 22, 1918, in Morgantown, a son of the late Leroy and Linnie B. Henry Nuce. He was a member of the Methodist faith. He retired as electricians assistant from West Virginia University. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by one brother and spouse, Blaine and Sue Nuce of Masontown; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Wayne (Mary) Nuce of Aarons Creek Road, and Mrs. Guy (Wanita) Nuce of Tyrone Road, and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Bertha Smith, Ava Lester, Mabel Hagedorn and Ruth Mayfield, and five brothers, Clarence Nuce, Guy Nuce, Herman Nuce, Wayne Nuce and Everett Nuce. Friends may call at Hastings Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Agnew officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
