Mother: Anna Richard 		in 1797 his parents located near Albany in Clinton County, then Cumberland County KY. where he was reared. He married and remained in the same county untill 1830, and then moved to Overton County Tenn, in 1848 he moved to the east part of Warren County, in 1851 he located near Beaver Creek Barren County KY., where he remained on a farm the rest of his life and died in the fall of 1881. While in Tenn he filled the office of constable.

Henry was the son of Mary Gain es Becks twin sister, Elizabeth Gaines, who married Larkin Ballard. Notice the interesting naming patterns of the couples six children. The f irst born male was William Larkin Ballard. The first born daughter was nam ed Mary Elizabeth Ballard. Both were given their maternal grandparents nam es as their given names, and their paternal grandparents names for the ir middle names.
