Thomas A. Husak
Notes:
Thomas Alexander Husak, age 74, died at his home January 12, 2017 with his beloved sister and nieces at his side.

Notes: Tom was born in Philadelphia to Alexander and Clara Husak and graduated from North Catholic High School in 1960. He took additional courses at Villanova and Temple Universities. Tom worked after college as a longshoreman on the Philadelphia docks for 20 years, and then as a landscaper and travel agent. Prior to his retirement, Tom did building maintenance for 1980 Superfine Lane. He was a valued employee, recognized for maintaining the building like it was his own home. In his spare time, Tom enjoyed collecting stamps and enjoyed participating in the 101st Airborne activities with his brother. He was a member of the Ephemera Society of America, a society dedicated to the collection, study, and preservation of ephemera, or "paper-items." Known by his family as a very humble man, Tom found value in everything.

Notes: He was predeceased by his siblings, Stephen Husak, Victoria Christine, and Alexander Husak. Tom is survived by his loving and devoted sister, Lillian Podgorski as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1 pm on Saturday, January 28 at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803 where a memorial service will be held at 2 pm. Burial will take place privately. Published in The News Journal from Jan. 20 to Jan. 26, 2017
