| Notes: | Sarah(Miller) Flora was crippled by a fallon ice. Her wrist was broken, and her back was injured so that she developed severe curvature of the spine. (Today, this condition probably would be diagnosed as osteoporosis.) After Emanuels death, their son, M. Ethel and his wife Vollie bought the farm, and Sarah moved to a house she and Emanuel owned in Richardsville. She had live-in help, the first of whom were Nora Alford and her son Earl. Later some of the granddaughters and her sister Eliza lived with her. There were others not related to her. She lived nearest her daughter Anna Young. She spent her last few weeks with Ethel and Vollie in the same house she and Emanuel had lived in. During her last few years, she had a series of cerebral hemorrhages and died in Ethels house 5:30 P. M., Nov. 20, 1944, age 86, 10 years after Emanuels burial. She was buried beside Emanuel Nov. 23, 1944, and their graves are marked with a pink granite. ~tone. Sarah was respectfully called "Aunt Sally Flora" by most who knew her, whether related or not.
